of Tientsin, have been enjoying the privilege of a

Penny Postage for some time, the correspondence of

British merchants at the last named port continues

to be taxed at 24 pence per ounce.

The China League is convinced that the disabil-

ity under which British merchants now labour at this

port has merely to be brought to the notice of His

Majesty's Government to secure its removal.
